The Float

Contraband is a base for collaboration between performers. The focus for 1980 is the dynamic tension between limited and free structure in performance. Dance is the base of exploration of emotional and physical relationships to self, other performers, environment and audience. Contraband is an extension of Sara Shelton Mann’s work since 1971. 44.1

The float is a piece of motional and emotional resonance. It has evolved from the dynamic tension between choreographic precision and immediate response. This process has restructured the organic relationship between various performance material.
